Just as getting unique images of wildlife pose a challenge, so do sunrises. Sure there are sunrises every morning, but to capture an extremely special one, a person must get out of bed a 4 a.m. many, many mornings to do so. These clouds are called altocumulus stratiformis, which are primarily composed of water droplets, giving them their brilliant color in the rising sun. They are my favorite of all the cloud genre. |
